In a t operation, approximately one lakh ganja saplings were destroyed in Tripura on Thursday.
According to official sources, on a tip-off, a t operation was carried out by police, Border Security Force (BSF) and forest personnel.

The t team destroyed the ganja saplings in several areas.
“On Thursday, Kalamchoura police, 74 battalion BSF and forest personnel tly carried out an operation in the Kalamchoura area under Sonamura sub-division of Sepahijala district,” said a police officer.
“The ganja saplings worth nearly Rs 50 lakh were destroyed during the t operation,” the police officer said.

Bharat Debbarma, the officer-in-charge of Kalamchoura police station informed that they destroyed ganja cultivation in 12 plots of land.
There were more than one lakh ganja plants, Debbarma said.
The t team first cordoned off the area and then launched the operation.
No one has been arrested so far.
Of the eight districts in Tripura, Sepeahijala is worst affected by plantation and smuggling of ganja.
