Newly floated regional party in Assam – the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) has released its first list of candidates for the Assam assembly elections.
The AJP’s first list of candidates comprises of 18 names.

Among the most notable of candidates are party president Lurin Jyoti Gogoi and general secretary Jagadish Bhuyan.
AJP president Lurin Jyoti Gogoi will contest from the Duliajan constituency.
On the other hand, AJP general secretary Jagadish Bhuyan will contest from the Sadiya constituency.
